At present, most of the new energy vehicles on the market have single motor and rear wheel drive.
A lot power is required when driving at a high speed, a car with dual-motor and four-wheel-drive (FWD) can use dual-motor combined drive so that the two motors can both operate at the high-performance range to meet the power demand of the vehicle. Real-time switch of single-motor and dual-motor mode can make dual-motor FWD vehicles accommodate power performance and economical efficiency.
INNO Instrument has been keeping pace with industry advancements to deliver professional testing solutions for drive motors. Currently, for testing motor drive systems in the field of new energy vehicles, INNO offers a new generation of ultra-high accuracy instruments such as the Power Analysis Wavecorder, Bidirectional Programmable DC Power Supply, Regenerative AC Power Supply, and more.
Additionally, INNO provides powerful upper-computer software that supports engineers in data analysis, output management, and delivering efficient testing workflows.
In dual-motor front-wheel drive (FWD) systems, real-time interaction between the front and rear motors is critical. During performance evaluations of such vehicles, it is essential to synchronously measure the power of the front and rear motors, as well as the input and output power of both motor controllers, in order to calculate power conversion efficiency and system losses accurately.
However, when the number of testing channels is limited, multiple instruments are often required. In such cases, data integration can only occur after all tests are completed, which increases the workload and analysis time. This also introduces the risk of data inconsistencies and reduces measurement reproducibility.
The Power Analysis Wavecorder provided by INNO addresses these challenges with seven power measurement channels and two motor measurement channels. It enables real-time data capture and analysis, significantly improving testing efficiency and ensuring high data accuracy.

SPAW7000 features 7 power channels and 2 motor channels, supporting a variety of voltage and current input ranges modules with distinct levels of precision. A maximum of 7 modules can be installed on a single instrument, each typically offering different specifications. This flexibility empowers users to select modules tailored to their specific requirements, thus customizing the instrument to accommodate a wide array of applications using just one power analyzer. We currently offer 8 modules with different specifications, with ongoing development of new modules.
The power analyzer’s modules have power supply interfaces for sensors, enabling direct power supply to the sensors and eliminating the need for external power supply devices, thus improving the user experience.
